Chris Russell

Restoration Cluster Manager - Tahi

Auckland

Chris is the manager of the Tahi (North Auckland) Cluster under the Auckland Council Ecoservices Contract. He has extensive experience undertaking pest plant identification, grid searching, infestation surveys and control across Auckland’s regional and local parks. Chris manages field operations across parks and reserves from the North Shore to the northern boundary of the Auckland region, with a focus on restoring and maintaining native forest and wetland ecosystems. His responsibilities include team leadership and mentoring, operational planning, quality assurance, reporting, and engagement with community groups, landowners and subcontractors. Chris brings strong practical field expertise, team management and a commitment to protecting Auckland’s natural environment.
