Emma Ries is a field ecologist based in Tauranga who specialises in Protection Lot assessments for Western Bay of Plenty District Council.
Emma has a strong interest in restoration ecology and is experienced in assessing management requirements for restoration sites. She particularly enjoys seeing the ecological improvements and benefits for indigenous species and the wider environment that result from restoration projects. Emma holds a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology and Ecology and a Postgraduate Diploma in Conservation Biology from Massey University.
