Dr Joshua Thoresen

Joshua is a senior ecologist and expert generalist specialising in ecological monitoring, impact assessment, and ecological management. He holds an MSc in Herpetology, a PhD in Marine Island Ecology from Auckland University of Technology, and post-doctoral experience in Savannah Ecology from the University of Cape Town. Joshua has designed and managed ecological monitoring programmes across New Zealand and South Africa, covering bats, birds, lizards, fish, wetlands, forests, grasslands, and marine environments. He has extensive experience in Ecological Impact Assessments, ecological management and planting plans, freshwater assessments and ecological significance assessments. Joshua also specialises in ecological data analysis, biostatistics, and modelling, using R and Python to develop efficient data workflows and analytical tools.
