Mitchell West

Mitchell is an experienced ecologist with broad expertise in ecological restoration, assessment, and biodiversity management. He is very experienced in natural area survey and assessment of High Conservation Value (HCV) areas to support Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certifications of plantation forests. He has prepared many large ecological restoration plans for a range of clients. His background in ecological restoration implementation has given him a strong understanding of practical management approaches and the actions needed to achieve positive outcomes for indigenous biodiversity. Mitchell holds a Master’s degree in Biological Science from the University of Canterbury.
